Hi!! In case you missed out on my post on Saturday, Axell’s Kitchen is now Sugar Magnolia! Since my blog has evolved into so much more than just recipes, a new name was way overdue! Why Sugar Magnolia you ask? Well Sugar Magnolia is one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs of all time and just seemed right. And I love sugar, so even better!
Moving on to the weekend.
Mine was absolutely fabulous. I spent some much needed time with my two boys and got to spend time with my mom and dad on Sunday for a brunch that I hosted at our house.
We had lots of yummy eats this weekend and I am more than ready to get back on track today with clean eating. Friday night I had my all-time favorite strawberry salad from Lakeside Tavern. Saturday I grazed all day and made taco salad for dinner. If you follow me on Instagram then you saw that I bought these awesome new Banana Dippers that I was so excited about. And yes they are as good as they sound!
Sunday for the brunch, I made blueberry crumb muffins and a breakfast casserole (recipes soon!) and had mimosas.
One of my Mother’s Day gifts was a Target gift card and you better bet I already spent every dime of it. I also am excited that one day this week Stu is taking me to see Gatsby!! Guys we have not gone and seen a movie in I can’t even tell you how long- so this is huge! I hate leaving the little man, but I think I deserve to go and have a date night with Stu (;
All in all this weekend was great and my Mother’s Day was perfect. It is still hard for me to even believe that I am a mom, but I am so thankful that I am. It’s amazing how much that little guy has changed my life and I couldn’t be happier.
How was your weekend? What did you do!?
